Fossil remains for this Dinosaur have been found in Africa
Nigersaurus was a medium-sized, long-necked plant eater that lived in Africa. It had tall spines on it back that may have made this dinosaur look sort of hump-backed. It was closely related to Rebbachisaurus and seems to have been a fairly common Early Cretaceous African dinosaur.
In addition to its hump, one its most peculiar features was that its dental structure was very similar to ornithopods. Some scientists think it also shared a number of features with titanosaurs. |
